Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: July 2026

Welcome to SMB Robotics! By browsing our website, purchasing hardware from our store, or commissioning a custom engineering project, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. We have written these in plain, everyday language so there are no surprises down the road.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing smbrobotic.com, creating an account, placing an order, or engaging our custom engineering services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Products & Services We Offer

SMB Robotics operates a hybrid business model consisting of:

  • E-Commerce (Hardware Store): We sell off-the-shelf electronic components, development boards, sensor kits, motors, and robotics accessories through our online store.
  • Custom Engineering Services: We design, develop, and deliver bespoke robotics systems, AI/ML integrations, IoT platforms, web/mobile applications, and custom PCB designs for both industrial clients and academic institutions.
  • FYP Mentorship: We provide comprehensive Final Year Project support including hardware assembly, software development, technical documentation, and Viva preparation for university engineering students.

3. Custom Project Scope & Change Requests

For all custom engineering work, the project scope (features, hardware components, software modules, and delivery timeline) is discussed, documented, and frozen during the initial consultation phase before any development begins.

We completely understand that ideas evolve. If you realize midway through development that you need an additional sensor, a new AI feature, or a different dashboard layout, we are happy to accommodate the change. However, please note that any modifications requested after the scope has been locked will be treated as a Change Request and may result in additional charges and a revised delivery timeline. We will always discuss and get your approval before proceeding with any billable changes.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

A. Our Content

All content on smbrobotic.com, including but not limited to text, images, logos, product photographs, blog articles, tutorial videos, and UI designs, is the intellectual property of SMB Robotics and is protected by copyright law. Reproducing, distributing, or commercially using any of our content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.

B. Custom Project Deliverables

For custom engineering projects: until the final project payment is completely cleared and confirmed, all source code, circuit schematics, PCB layouts, mechanical CAD files, and software architectures developed by our team remain the intellectual property of SMB Robotics. Once full payment is received, ownership of the project deliverables is transferred to you. Reselling our custom designs, source codes, or schematics to a third party without our written consent is not permitted.

5. Pricing, Payments & Currency

All prices listed on our website are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) unless stated otherwise. Product prices and hardware availability are subject to change without prior notice due to fluctuations in the global electronics supply chain, component shortages, and currency exchange rate changes. The price at the time of your order confirmation is the final price you pay.

6. Limitation of Liability

Robotics and electronics are exciting, but they involve real-world risks including high voltages, moving mechanical parts, lithium batteries, and soldering. We ensure all our custom machines, hardware kits, and assembled projects are thoroughly tested for safety and functionality before delivery.

However, SMB Robotics shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, electrical hazards, data loss, or system failures that occur due to:

  • Misuse or improper handling of the hardware by the end user.
  • Incorrect wiring, reverse polarity connections, or over-voltage situations.
  • Unauthorized modifications, component swaps, or firmware changes made after delivery.
  • Operating the hardware outside of its documented environmental or electrical specifications.

In all cases, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific product or project in question.

7. Account Security

If you create an account on our website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Please notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Islamabad, Pakistan.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
